Fourth day of Distance Learning—Go The Distance
If you are having a tough time giving things one more try, read this:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
Edison was a partially deaf inventor who developed many devices in fields such as electric power generation, mass communication, sound recording, motion pictures, and of course—the lightbulb!
Happy Birthday to Mrs. Peterson!
Schoology is having issues keeping up with the demand of use. Ms. Johnson has a great idea:
1— Early in the day, download your Schoology assignments for the day.
2— Complete the assignments and save. (You don’t need Schoology to do this step.)
3— Later in the day, upload them to Schoology when the platform usage is lower.
Students: Please go to your Ramp Up Course first thing, find the question for the week, answer it, and submit it!
This will be our way of recording your attendance for this week. Please complete today, if you didn’t do it Monday.
Congratulations! Tracy Biology Club has finished in FIRST PLACE in the Show Us Your Mussels Challenge!
All seniors please check your Senior Information course on Schoology for a message from Mrs. Vondracek.
Farewell to our Foreign Exchange student Issaree (Minnie) Chaipramote! Her AFS program is returning her to her home in Thailand this week. We wish her the very best. We will miss you Minnie.
Parents and Students: Please visit the school’s high school website page and read the TAHS Parent Distance Learning Q & A. This will help you prepare for Monday, March 30.
Homework can be submitted through Schoology, taking a picture of it (make sure you have the margins showing) and email it to your teacher, or give to the meal delivery bus/van or place in drop boxes (HS Door #4, Elem. Door #1, Milroy School, and Walnut Grove – 341 Fifth St.) Library books can also be left with the meal delivery bus/van. Paper copies need to have student name and teacher name.
Meal delivery places and times are as follows:
Call TAHS at 629-5500 and talk to Angela Fischer if you did not sign up and would like to be added to the list.

If you don't have internet access at home other than the wi-fi on your cell phone, please email your social studies teacher stating that, as soon as you possibly can. Pass the word. This will help us accommodate you on potential distance learning days. Thank you.
Please remember to take care of yourself by doing the following:
--get plenty of sleep.
--do some type of physical exercise—walking, yoga, a work-out video, a fun dance video—anything that gets you moving.
--do something to help someone else.
--try to keep a normal schedule, go to bed and get up every day at the same time.
--wash your hands often.
--if you don’t feel well, isolate yourself from others.

Baseball players needing a ride to the VMC and Balaton need to ride the Activity Bus. The Activity Bus will depart the high school at 3:20pm and then stop at Elementary around 3:22pm. It will then go to the VMC and then on to Balaton.
Please remember to turn in your $80.00 payment and permission form to attend the state conference to Mrs. Campbell by March 22.
The City of Tracy is hiring Lifeguards (must be 15 on training date), WSI (swim lesson teachers-must be 16 on training date), Front desk, and Management positions. Applications are online on the City of Tracy Website, or will be available Friday in the HS Office.
Attention students- Cole Schreier came up with an idea to raise money for Emilie Hissam and her family. Cole decided he needs a haircut and he is going to let one of you lucky students or faculty cut it. It will be $1/entry. You can enter your name and pay at Angela's desk. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 20. Who's going to be Cole's new barber?
THERE WILL BE SCHOOL ON MONDAY, APRIL 22. Starting this Friday through Friday, May 3—it will be on a regular schedule with ALL grades starting class at 8:02 (no ramp up, no PLCs, etc.). Interruptions to a regular class period will be kept to the best minimum that we can do. This is to capitalize on our instructional time that we are here in school.
Detention is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Room 150 from 3:00-4:30 pm. Mrs. Apperson is the supervisor. If you are going to serve tonight, show up by 3:10pm. If no students show by then, the room will be closed.
The After School Program is open to all students Mondays-Thursdays. Bussing is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 pm at Door #1. The bus has drop-offs in town, Balaton, Garvin. Drop-offs in Currie are on Tuesdays only. Once you leave the after school program, you must exit the building.
Please come to the office to accept your Panther Pride award: Bao Vue, Stephen Rolling
